Job Description:

Formed over 70 years ago, My client has a long history as a high quality builder in Oxfordshire and the Cotswold’s.

The ideal candidate must have experience with High-end, Listed properties Grade 1 and Grade 2.

Duties:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis
  • Analyze and evaluate construction plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to stakeholders
  • Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
  • Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in cost control techniques
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of construction projects. Your expertise in cost control and analysis will contribute to the efficient management of resources, adherence to budgets, and overall project profitability. You will work closely with project teams to provide accurate cost estimates, monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in performing your duties effectively.
