RHL is looking for a Site Manager (Fit-Out / Rail Experience Preferred)

Location: Central London (site-based)
Duration: Initial 6-week contract
Working Pattern: 2-3 days per week
Rate: £350-£375 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the retrofit of a commercial office space in Central London. While this is a building fit-out project, the client environment is linked to the rail sector, so experience working on Network Rail or similar regulated infrastructure projects is highly desirable. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity starting as a 6-week contract, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee day-to-day site operations on an office retrofit / fit-out project

· Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to required quality standards

· Maintain full compliance with CDM Regulations (2015) and site H&S protocols

· Manage subcontractors and coordinate trades on site

· Monitor progress against programme and report to stakeholders

· Identify, assess, and mitigate site risks

· Ensure works comply with both construction and any client-specific (rail-related) standards

· Support delivery within a safety-critical or highly regulated environment

Key Requirements

· Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit-out, refurbishment, or construction projects

· Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations (2015)

· Ability to manage site activities in controlled or regulated environments

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

· Relevant certifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS)

Desirable

· Experience working on Network Rail or similar infrastructure projects

· Familiarity with rail processes (e.g. PACE/GRIP)

· Health & safety qualifications such as NEBOSH

· Experience working in live or operational environments
