Air Conditioning Installation & Service Engineer Location
Midlands or Newport (with travel and occasional overnight stays required)

£38,000 - £47,000 per year (depending on experience)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to carry out a mix of installation, maintenance, and servicing works across commercial sites. This role involves travel and participation in an on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF, and chillers
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure optimal system performance
Install air conditioning systems, from split units through to VRF systems
Assist with AHU and chiller installations (desirable)
Respond to client callouts within agreed SLAs
Maintain compliance with health & safety standards and site-specific requirements
Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
Produce accurate technical and service reports
Identify and quote for additional works where required
Participate in a 24-hour call-out rota (standby rota applies)
Skills & Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
F-Gas Certification (Category 1 / 2079)
Minimum 5+ years' experience in air conditioning installation and service
Strong experience working on commercial HVAC systems
Good knowledge of building regulations and HVAC standards
Familiar with health & safety practices (risk assessments, COSHH, etc.
